April 21, 2015 - PFAFF Industrial and KSL Keilmann merge
Over the past 50 years KSL has taken the lead in the area of automated processing of technical textiles, leather and composites. In the industry they are considered a high-tech company for customized machines and systems for automotive, filters, mattresses, home textiles and aerospace.
The merger generates synergies in R & D, production and sales/marketing. The new organization with the brands PFAFF INDUSTRIAL and KSL will be able to act much stronger in the market. In the future the company will be headed by managing directors Cornelia Mast (Chairwoman), Robert Keilmann and Yongwu Chen.
The former KSL Keilmann Sondermaschinenbau GmbH will from now on be operated as „KSL branch office“ of PFAFF Industriesysteme und Maschinen GmbH. The production of the mattress systems was relocated from Altenburg to Kaiserslautern. The sites in Lorsch and Kaiserslautern in southwestern Germany will be strengthened by the merger. High-tech machines, customized machines and systems will continue to be developed, designed and manufactured in Lorsch under the KSL-label.
The know-how and the innovative power of both brands under one roof is a valuable basis for further expanding and sustainably strengthen the leadership in innovation in automated sewing and welding.
